Price check in Lidl

One of the aims of the project is to think about costs of living, so we compared prices of some groceries in all partnership countries.
Pupils first wrote what the prices of the groceries are, then went to Lidl supermarket in Murska Sobota and checked the prices. Most of the pupils expected prices are higher than they actually are (up to 3 times highter). There were very few children who expected lower prices.

The final chart of all the prices from will be put on diplay in school.

Teachers from Worcester visited the school in Slovenia

Last week we hosted four teachers from Worcester, England. They presented their school and their town to the younger children. The children also saw british pounds for the first time. The children really enjoyed it! Two of our students gave them some tips on what to see in the vicinity of the school as well as the whole of Slovenia. The teachers from England and English teachers from Slovenia went to see a pottery village and tried the pottery themselves.

With this questionnaire we wanted to find out how much do children know about the countries
involved in the project »Be Smart – Save Money«, what they know about savings, and what the
role of banks is.
